Melted

By Lisa Marie Harmon

Sobbing, he ran,
little bare feet
imprinting a trail
from castle to mom.
The perfect tower,
feather flags and
pebble windows,
a moat with flip-flop bridge,
his summer day fun,
melted in a moment
by one big wave.
